APL offers proficiency testing (PT) services through both multi-laboratory schemes and tailored one-on-one measurement audits, depending on your specific needs and scheduling preferences.
We maintain a library of stable, well-characterised test instruments for use as comparison artefacts—so in most cases, you won’t need to source a “best available” device to demonstrate your lowest achievable uncertainties.
APL’s industry-leading accredited uncertainties allow us to serve as the reference laboratory for most proficiency testing comparisons. In select cases, we engage the National Measurement Institute of Australia (NMIA) or other leading international accredited laboratories to provide reference values.
Our extensive experience in pressure calibration, technical assessment of laboratories and analysing inter-laboratory comparison results enables us to provide expert advice in instances were unsatisfactory agreement is obtained.
